Position Overview

As an Account Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for a portfolio of business clients. You’ll be responsible for reviewing financial statements, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring that accounting practices are clearly communicated and effectively implemented. This role builds on foundational accounting experience and is ideal for professionals ready to take ownership of client relationships and team coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze client financial statements for accuracy and insight.
  • Meet regularly with clients to discuss financial performance and provide guidance.
  • Maintain and strengthen client relationships through proactive communication and service.
  • Translate accounting concepts and practices into clear, actionable advice for business owners.
  • Delegate tasks to associates and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of services.
  • Support clients in understanding their financial position and making informed decisions.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of prior experience in accounting or bookkeeping, with a strong understanding of financial statements.
  • Experience working with small business clients is highly valued.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and delegate tasks effectively.

  • Strong grasp of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial audiences.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Team-oriented with a proactive and client-focused mindset.
  • Skilled in accounting software (e.g. Xero, Gusto, Bill, OnPay, QuickBooks)
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).
 

Compensation

$55,000 - $62,000 per year
